About Fern Cottage in Rural Covington

Whether your interested in a weekend or longer, we'll do our best to accommodate you at this private rental and vacation suite at Fern Cottage. Rates are for 1 or 2 adults only and the property is a smoke-free zone. Sorry, no pets are allowed on the premises. The Fern Cottage entrance and immediate outdoor areas are monitored by security cameras ensuring a safe stay and retreat and the owners live on the premises.

The 5 acre tract of wooded land has 140' of Bogue Falaya River frontage and is a registered protected wetlands area in St. Tammany Parish. Fern Cottage is not built on the rivers edge, however there is a lovely wide cleared path for walking through nature to get to the river. You must cross the river to get to the big beach.

The Rental Suite at Fern Cottage

The Suite at Fern Cottage is a private apartment available by reservation. Guest access to Wifi and over the air HDTV is provided, as well as Roku, a DVD player and movies.

The bedroom includes a comfy, king-size bed and roomy closet for your belongings. The private bath has an open topped shower with a removable hand held shower head and offers a hairdryer and basic toiletries.

The living room has a relaxing area for television or reading and a bar height table and two stools for meals. The efficiency kitchen is equipped with a full size refrigerator and dishwasher, convection microwave, coffee maker (pot or Kuerig) and two burner induction cook top. The apartment is furnished with cooking utensils as well as dinner and glassware. There is also a gas grill for outdoor cooking.

Laundry service is available if needed upon request for long term stays or out of the ordinary cleaning circumstances. Fresh towels and linens are provided weekly.

We are not a "bed and breakfast" however we do provide coffee supplies, cocoa mix, etc. for your stay.
